About Us

At Earthwise Construction being a green building company and creating sustainable eco homes, is not a marketing gimmick. All of our team are very passionate about eco building and the environment. We encorporate our green ethos into all areas of our business, for example, all of our vehicles run on LPG, a more environmentally friendly fuel.

How did we start?

Earthwise Construction was formed in 2004 by two of its Directors, Mischa Hewitt and Ben East, click here to find out more about the team.

As long standing environmentalists, both Directors had been involved in the Earthship Brighton project organised by the Low Carbon Trust. It was an environmental project to design and construct a building that would be used to demonstrate how a low carbon and low waste future could look. For more information click here.

As the Earthship Brighton project came to a close, Mischa and Ben decided to combine their expertise, experience and skills to create a green building company that focused entirely on ecologically based building projects. Since that time Dan England has also joined the company as a Director and Earthwise Construction has carried out a wide range of fantastic renovations, conversions, extensions and new build developments. Where are we going?

The aim of the organisation is to continue to create cutting edge eco homes, whether new build or refurbishments and to show the public at large how different and better buildings can be if they are designed with sustainability at heart. Earthwise construction aims to be part of a movement for all new buildings to be based on these principles.
